When I met Raishma in her shop, she was very hands-on, honest about what suited me, gave good advice and listened carefully to what I wanted. Being in my mid-thirties and having a daughter already with my (then) fiance, and having a small wedding, I really wanted to look elegant but not overdone as though I thought I belonged in a magazine! And she really got that.

Furthermore, Raishma really understood that having a small child, wearing just one dress the whole day for the ceremony, meal and dancing I needed it to be comfortable and practical too.

I didn't make life easy for Raishma and Sharon, as I live in Geneva, the wedding took place in central London and I could only do one fitting between the order and pick-up dates. Plus, I placed the order just 2 months in advance! Raishma stayed in touch regularly giving me updates and understood that everything needed to be ready for the fitting when I went in as I had so little time and a long way to come.

Despite all the preparation, problems struck when Europe experienced the heaviest snowfall in years the week of my wedding and flights were grounded! We arrived in London only 24 hours before the big day, instead of 3 days as planned and Sharon was stuck in India as she couldn't get back for the same reason. I just about made it to Raishma's shop the day before and she did all the final adjustments herself while I waited. I was in a panic as I had no back-up outfit but she remained calm during these days always appearing confident that as long as I got to London, everything with the dress would be fine.

I had nothing to worry about and loved wearing the dress on the big day. It was better than i could have hoped for and everyone loved it. Could not have been in safer hands!
